Boquete: The premiere destination of Panama

Nestled in a valley surrounded by green mountains, Boquete its more than beautiful landscapes. You will be pleasantly surprised by the many activities that take place here!

The Valley of the Eternal Spring -name by which Boquete is also known- is located in the province of Chiriqui, in the Western side of Panama in the slopes of the Baru Volcano, a massive mountain of some 11,400 feet which is the highest point in the country.
Boquete was founded at the beginning of the 20th century by pioneers coming from other areas of Panama, US and Europe. The first settlers cultivated produce and coffee, given the fertility of Boquete’s volcanic soil. Today, those agricultural activities prevail harmoniously with the tourism activity.

SO MUCH TO DO, SO MUCH TO SEE
In Boquete you can find activities for almost every taste. Among the most demanded activities are the coffee tours on Boquete’s world-renowned coffee plantations (the coffee of Boquete has been regularly awarded and regarded in high esteem by the industry connoisseurs); birdwatching in the surrounding mountains, a true mecca for the activity due to the thousands of species that inhabit our forests; hiking and sightseeing, two of the most popular spots being the road to the summit of the Baru Volcano and The Quetzales trail, both in La Amistad National Park; tree trekking in the canopy of century-old cloudy forests; river rafting and kayaking in Chiriqui’s high and low lands, with its rapids ranging from class I to V. The town is famous also for its varied cuisine, second only to Panama City.
