The Valley of the Eternal Spring -name by which Boquete is also known- is located in the province of Chiriqui, in the Western side of Panama in the slopes of the Baru Volcano, a massive mountain of some 11,400 feet which is the highest point in the country.
Boquete was founded at the beginning of the 20th century by pioneers coming from other areas of Panama, US and Europe. The first settlers cultivated produce and coffee, given the fertility of Boquete’s volcanic soil.
